Pressure thermometers
They are the traditional elements of temperature measurement. They are grouped into two types.
Mechanical precision thermometers. Based on the expansion of a fluid in a glass rod (traditionally mercury) enables to measure the accuracy in different temperature zones (allowing a suitable resolution and size for a correct visualization).
Digital thermometers. Based on temperature sensors by thermoresistance or thermocouple. The digital visualization enables to eliminate the observed errors having two or three decimal points of visualization resolution. They can cover the entire field of usual temperature (-100 to 1600 ° C) depending on the model and type of sensor.
Baños termostáticos
They are basic elements of temperature generation for calibration of instruments by comparison of a thermometer pattern. A heating or cooling element regulates the fluid temperature (oil for low temperature and sand for very high temperatures). The accuracy and especially the homogeneity and stability of the system assure us that the temperature of all the fluid is the same and therefore, the measures of the probe pattern and the instrument to be calibrated are comparable.
Hornos de calibración
They are basic elements of temperature generation for calibration of instruments by comparison of a thermometer pattern. A heating or cooling element regulates the air temperature circulating through a cavity. The accuracy and especially the homogeneity and stability of the system assure us that the temperature of all the fluid is the same and therefore, the measures of the probe pattern and the instrument to be calibrated are comparable. Unlike the baño termostático, los hornos de calibración are completely aseptic so do not pollute the measurement area with oil vapours and excess fluids from calibrated equipment that was sumergido should not be removed.
