Relative pressure transmitters

The relative pressure measures the pressure of a point relative to the atmospheric pressure. It is also called presión manométrica as it is traditionally observed through manometers. Pressure sensors can have different technologies. Ceramic pressure sensors with thin layer. They are made with a ceramic base and ceramic membrane following the piezoresistive principle. The membrane has a Wheatstone bridge that it becomes imbalanced by deforming the membrane due to the pressure being proportional to the pressure deviation received. Capacitive ceramic sensors Are built with a ceramic membrane following the capacitive principle, in the pressure measurement occurs variation of capacitance due [...]

Absolute pressure transmitters

Absolute pressure measures the pressure relative to vacuum. Capacitive ceramic sensors Are built with a ceramic membrane following the capacitive principle, in the pressure measurement occurs variation of capacitance due to deformation of the plates of a capacitor. The plate condenser is screenprinted on the membrane. These sensors have [...]

Transmitters with membrana aflorante

Transmitters with threaded connection It incorporates a separating membrane between the fluid and the sensor. This membrane is welded at the end of the thread avoiding any point where solid particles can alter pressure input. It is applicable in fluids with suspension particles, highly viscous fluids or any liquid that we want to avoid contact with the sensor either because the chemical attack or because its peculiarities. Also, the membrane is welded avoiding elastomers in the process. The most common models are DMP 331P and DMK 331P. Transmitters with flange connection It incorporates a separating membrane between the fluid and [...]

Differential pressure transmitters

The differential pressure indicates the pressure difference between two outputs irrespective of the line or static pressure. Its main characteristics are equivalent to relative pressure equipment except that it has two pressure connections. We must consider line or static pressure and the fluid to be measured because there are models that can only work with clean air and non-corrosive or oxidant gases (such as DMD341, DPS200 and DPS300) and others are compatible with a multitude of fluids such as DMD 331. Transmitters with local display They are pressure transmitters incorporating an electronic display control on the same computer.  They may [...]

Specific transmitters

High vacuum transmitters Sensotec supplies high vacuum pressure transmitters by Pirani system. The Pirani meter is a thermal conductivity device to measurement in vacuum systems. It was invented in 1906 by Marcello Pirani. The Pirani gauge consists of a metal filament (usually platinum) suspended in a tube that is connected to the vacuum system measured. The filament is connected to an electrical system. By calibrating it, we can perform a pressure reading. We can determine with good accuracy and high resolution high vacuum up to 10 -4 Tor. Usually the output signal corresponds to a logarithmic scale. Sensotec offers Tyracont [...]
