Different operating principles (microwave, capacitance, etc.) allow us to detect liquid or solid (depending on model) through a wall of nonconductive material (plastics, fibres, glass).
It is ideal for applications where it is not possible to install an element in contact with the product due to a compatibility problem of materials, tank construction, etc.
In liquids application, in some cases the detector can be applied en un tubo lateral de nivel visual instead of in the same tank. This greatly facilitates the application because the tube walls are thin and fixing the detector can be accomplished with simple plastic or metal flanges.
