Case manometers
The differential pressure is a measure of the difference pressure between two connections (independent of the static or linear pressure that may exist).
This system measures low differential pressures.
In this case, the sensible element is built by two thin waved walls, joined by a laser welding. The case is deformable under the effect of pressure. This deformation acts over the mechanism, moving the needle in the centre of the sphere.
The most usual models correspond to the series MDX and MCD.
Other characteristics are:
- Material. The parts in contact with the fluid and other parts of the mechanism and case may be built in different materials. Stainless steel is the most common although we also have devices made of brass or Monel.
- Diameter of the sphere. We have small manometers with graded spheres of 100 mm to large equipment with 150 mm diameter sphere.
- Accuracy. The standard devices accuracy is 1,6% FE (max error of 1,6% of the scale) sand we have available options and manometers with accuracy of 1%, FE and 0,5% FE.
- Connection. El racor de conexión a proceso can be from 1/4” to ½” in GAS (BSP) or NPT.
- Installation. The devices may have different shape that determine their situation in the installation:
Vertical output manometer for direct installation
Manometer back output (back side of the box) for direct installation (are based exclusively on the same connection fitting)
Manometer with vertical output (bottom of the case) with back support for wall mounting. They are used when the media se realiza a distancia del proceso.
Manometer back output (back side of the box) for installation in panel. They are used when the measurement is done They are used when the measurement is done form distance integrated into a board or panel. They have a front plate or flanges for mounting on the neck of a panel.
Manómetros de fuelle
The differential pressure is a measure of the difference pressure between two connections (independent of the static or linear pressure that may exist).
This system measures differential pressures in medium and high ranges with a high static pressure.
In this case, the sensible element is built in stainless steel membrane folded in shape of fuelle (como un acordeón). El fuelle is a deformable cavity under the effect of pressure. Each pressure connection goes to a side of the fuelled (inside or outside). This deformation acts on the mechanism that effects the movement of the needle in the centre of a sphere.
The most common models correspond to the series MDD, MDH.
