The encoders transform the movement in an analogic or digital that indicates the real actual position.
With the measuring principle, we can distinguish the optical encoders (a transparent disc with screen-print that generates a binary information) or magnetic encoders that detect the rotation of the magnet by a Hall effect sensor.
