In most of the cases it is necessary to do an isolation between input signals and our system. In this way we can avoid drift, increase safety and allow installing items that need to be isolated from the common mass of the system. For this, we install galvanic isolators that inserted in the several signal inputs avoid any physical communication between system and sensor.
The most universal models are the model SGS-61 de SIMEX. It isolates a loop of 4-20 mA in a rail module of only 6,1 m of thickness. We can almost say that you can physically replace the terminals offering a 750 V isolation between input and output.
The converters TV500 and SY 500 from MARTENS with auxiliary supply of 230 Vac or 10 to 30 V have several inputs and outputs with galvanic isolation.
The input options are: 0 to 20 mAdc, 0 to 10 Vdc, 2 to 10 Vdc, 4-20 mA
The output options are: 0 to 20 mAdc, 0 to 10 Vdc, 2 to 10 Vdc, 4-20 mA allowing any input / output combination.
The model TV500H has an additional control output (adjustable relay).
Within MARTENS range, we also have available devices with 40-20 mA supply and units that can be inserted in the current loop.
Our represented IMTRON has ISO series, a full range of devices with isolation for amplification of all types of signals since there are specific models for any magnitude:
ISO-Poti entrada potenciómetro. ISO-DC, supply input DC and AC. ISO PT100 for RTDs. ISO-TC for thermocouples. ISO-ICP for piezoelectric sensors. ISO-IF for pulses.
